Amy Jones specializes in corporate and commercial law, primarily representing small and medium-sized businesses and nonprofit organizations on a range of issues. She has extensive experience creating new businesses and organizations and advising on organizational and corporate governance matters, as well as counseling existing organizations on day-to-day legal issues. Ms. Jones frequently assists clients with drafting and negotiating agreements, including marketing, advertising and promotion agreements, confidentiality agreements, research funding agreements, licensing agreements and employment agreements. Her practice also includes representing clients in intellectual property matters, including trademark prosecutions and internet domain name disputes, as well as on administrative matters with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Federal Trade Commission and the District of Columbia government.

Prior to joining Watkinson Miller, Ms. Jones practiced in the corporate department of the New York office of a large international law firm for two years. Her practice there focused on cross-border mergers and acquisitions and insurance regulatory matters. Before attending law school, Ms. Jones taught English as a Second Language as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Uzbekistan and served as a legislative assistant in the Texas House of Representatives.
